Hair packs that you can make to cover your gray hair:
1.Amla and Henna pack:
- 1 cup fresh Henna paste
- 1 teaspoon coffee powder
- 3 teaspoons Amla powder
- Combine all the given ingredients and make a paste. Add some water to maintain the consistency of the paste.
- Apply the paste to your hair using a brush or with your hands. Ensure that you cover that hair that appears to be more grey or white.
- Leave it till the paste dries up which will be around 40 minutes to an hour.
- Rinse the hair pack out from your hair with your regular shampoo.
2.Coconut oil and lemon:
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- Combine both the things in a mixing bowl and apply them to your hair directly.
- Massage your hair with the mixture for some time, working it around the tips and the grey parts.
- Rinse it out with shampoo after around 30 minutes of keeping it.
Curry leaves are another one of very useful natural products for the hair.
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- Some curry leaves
- Take both the ingredients in a pan and heat them till the point you see a black residue.
- Set the oil aside and let it cool.
- Massage your scalp with the oil and also work it through the length and tips of your hair.
- Leave the oil on the scalp for around an hour or so, and rinse it out with a hair wash after that.
Onion is a known supplement for promoting long and healthy hair. It provides extra sulfur to the scalp which promotes collagen production and prevents hair loss. Collagen helps in producing more healthy skin cells in the body, in turn promoting hair growth.
Onion juice also helps to increase the enzyme Catalase in our scalp which helps in the darkening of hair.
How to use onion juice?
For getting rid of your grey hair, you can mix 2-3 tablespoons of onion juice with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Massage your scalp with the oil that you’ve prepared for around half an hour. After that, shampoo your hair to wash out the oil.
Shikakai has long been used for hair growth, darkening grey and white hair, and promoting healthy hair. Ayurveda has suggested shikakai powder for ages, and it helps in delaying the whitening of hair.
All you need to do is make a paste of shikakai powder, and some amount of yogurt. Rub it into your scalp and wash it off after around half an hour.
Natural hair dye

- Black pepper and lemon:
Mix one tablespoon of black pepper and lemon juice, with some yogurt. Massage it well on your scalp and the tips of your hair. wash it off after an hour or so and repeat for three times a week.
- Bhringraj hair dye:
From darkening your hair color to making your hair healthier and shinier, Bhringraj basically does it all.
Heat some amount of Bhringraj along with coconut oil, in a pan and rub the mixture well on your scalp for some time. Wash it off after an hour and repeat twice or thrice every week.
- Hibiscus hair dye:
All you need to do to prepare this dye is to soak the leaves and flowers of the hibiscus in water for one night and use the same water to rinse your hair the next day.
